Delivery Information
Our aim is to deliver all goods ordered held in stock within 3 working days. Deliveries are normally undertaken by our own personnel using our own vehicles so that we can offer you the best possible service. If the product that you have selected is not available at the time of placing your order, and it is necessary for us to order directly from the Manufacturer, you will be contacted within 48 hrs. We will keep you updated with the progress of your order if the item is on back order.
If you are ordering from outside our normal operating area we may offer a delivery-only service using third party carriers, depending on the product. Please ring us for more information.
Prices quoted are subject to stock availability. It is your responsibility to check your goods upon delivery for shortages or damage and to make a note of such on the carriers consignment note when you sign for the goods. Any shortage or damage must be reported within 48hrs of taking delivery. If the delivery is not completed on the agreed date as a result of no one being available at the delivery address a second delivery charge will be applied. If installation is selected on a domestic appliance this is for connection to adjacent and available services and will not include hard wiring or any plumbing work. Standard delivery and installation is to ground floor accommodation. If delivery is required upstairs whether a lift is available or not, please check with us before ordering.
If you have requested that the old product is to be removed for recycling, this must be disconnected in advance of the delivery of the new appliance. If you have requested installation of a new appliance our team will, wherever possible disconnect it for you if delivery is done using our own vehicles and personnel.
Additional security checks may be carried out before your delivery date to ensure our customers are protected from on-line fraud. You may, therefore, be contacted before your delivery so these checks can be carried out.
Ordering Process
The following terms and conditions apply to all orders which are processed by G Craggs Ltd either online or by any other form of communication and form part of the contract between us. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference. Your use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Prices
All prices include VAT. No contract is created until we have accepted your order. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers we will not process your order and will instead alert you immediately to the actual price of the goods. You will then have the option to proceed at this updated price. We will only process any such order with your explicit authority. Prices quoted are subject to stock availability.
Fraud
With the level of fraudulent orders being placed on the internet increasing, we now have additional measures in place to check orders made via our website. All orders are checked as thoroughly as possible using the information provided. However as a result of these extra security measures, it is possible that we might need to speak to you prior to the goods being dispatched and may put the order temporarily on hold whilst we do so. Please do not be offended if we contact you to make additional security checks after you have placed your order.
Products
Product images, descriptions and specifications are shown for guidance only; for example cabinet/case colours may vary, TV stands shown may differ from those supplied, remote control designs may vary during manufactures' production run etc. Some products may require set-up and/or assembly; for example TV's, DVD's and Hi-fi tuners may need manually tuning. Vacuum cleaners and TV stands may need assembly. Washing machines need to have transit bolts removed etc.
Payment
Payment will be taken at the time the order is placed. A contract between us is not formed until we have processed the transaction and started the dispatch process. We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards.
Guarantee
All products are supplied guaranteed for a minimum period of one year following the date of delivery.

Please see our 'Delivery' section for more information on our delivery services. Our aim is to deliver all goods ordered within 3 working days, subject to availability. We may need to contact you before your delivery date to carry out additional security checks to protect our customers and or make alternative delivery arrangements. If this is the case you will usually be contacted within 48 hrs of the order being placed.
Recycling of electrical and electronic equipment
The UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations allows members of the public to deposit old electrical and electronic items at recycling sites across the UK, free of charge. Electrical and Electronic Equipment waste is, increasing by at least 5% each year. The public dispose of over 1.2 million tonnes of waste every year in the UK, and landfill sites are now approaching full capacity. Much of this waste can be recycled, to make new consumer goods. The WEEE regulations aim to reduce the quantity of electrical and electronic items disposed of in this way, and will encourage everyone to play a part in protecting the environment for future generations. As retailers of electrical and electronic products, we fully support this regulation, and in anticipation we have joined together with some of the UK's leading electrical retailers to create and fund a new body - the Distributor Take-Back (DTS) scheme - which will help develop a new UK recycling network for waste electrical products.

Our Installation Service
Where installation is offered, it is undertaken by our own award-winning team.
- Our installers will connect your new TV/s to any existing auxiliary equipment such as DVD or video players.
- Our installers will give full priority over fitting the product safely with the minimum of disruption to your day.
- Our Installers are fully trained fitters and in the case of gas appliances we can recommend a CORGI registered fitter.
- Our installers will demonstrate the basic functions of the product and answer any questions that you may have.
So that we can deliver your product on time and install your purchase efficiently it is important that you make sure the following conditions apply:
- You have ensured that there is clear and safe access to your property and the space in which you wish for your product to be installed. We also ask that you let us know if the product is to be taken up staircases, into lifts or into cellars. We are happy to arrange a site survey beforehand if you are unsure.
- You make available to us either your home, work or mobile numbers so that we can keep you informed of your delivery or installation
- You are at home at the time we have agreed with you
- That you have read our installation instructions for your particular product
- To ensure that all existing wiring is safe and suitable to accept your new appliance
- If you are buying a gas cooker, that you have a fully operational gas supply
Brown Goods Servicing e.g. TV's
We can arrange repairs on the TV brands that we sell.
For technical queries you can contact staff at any branch and if necessary, they will arrange a repair for you.
If you are unable to get your product to one of our stores for repair, collection and re-delivery costs £24.
White Goods Servicing e.g. Washing Machines's
If your appliance is still under warranty please phone the appropriate number listed below each logo. For your convenience some of the manufacturers allow you to book on-line. Where this is so, we have provided you with the direct link.

Recycling
If you are buying a new electrical item we will recycle your old one free of charge.
The exception being refrigeration items where we make a charge of £20 per item.
Why recycle?
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment ends up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination-harming wildlife and human health.
We can help
When you have a new item delivered we will remove the old item free of charge. Alternatively if you purchase in store you can bring the old equivalent item in for recycling or send it, adequately packaged and with a copy of your purchase receipt to G Craggs Ltd, Fishergate House, Boroughbridge, N Yorkshire YO51 9AL.
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, retailers must provide a collection and disposal system on a like-for-like basis.
