The Lumix LZ40 – Stylish Bridge Camera with Large 42x Super Zoom
Twin a powerful 42X optical zoom lens with a 20-megapixel high-resolution sensor and we have the ‘Long Zoom’ LZ40 from Panasonic. The bridge model also features Program and Manual modes for added flexibility when it comes to attempting more creative shooting. Additionally on board is a Creative mode with 15 selectable digital effects filters to truly help your imagination run riot.

Now wildlife and sports photographers can pull the faraway that much closer with one lens that can truly do it all. The lure here is a 35mm equivalent focal range that runs from an ultra wide angle 22mm right up to 924mm at the telephoto end. There is the further opportunity to enhance the camera’s performance by extending zoom power to 84x by combining it with the digital zoom; the result being less deterioration in image quality. The 22mm equivalent starting point is naturally perfect for shooting landscapes and group portraiture – indoors or out.

The LZ40 boasts a CCD with an upgraded 20-megapixel resolution, whilst its image-processing engine supports the shooting of high quality photos and stunning video.

As usual with a Panasonic camera, the LZ40 is fully loaded with a variety of Creative Control digital filter effects that can be automatically applied to images to add drama and fun. For example Creative Panorama allows uses to create dynamic vertical or horizontal panoramic photos just by panning with the camera. The following options can be applied to both stills and videos: Expressive, Retro, Old Days, High Key, Low Key, Sepia, Dynamic Monochrome, Impressive Art, High Dynamic, Cross Process, Toy Effect, Miniature Effect and One Point Colour.

The LZ40 comes equipped with user selectable Program and Manual shooting modes. More experienced photographers who want to do something more creative with the camera than merely point and shoot can give full vent to their creative urges.

With High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode selected, several photos are shot in quick succession at different exposure levels. From these varied shots a single image is composed. In this way both over exposure and under exposure of the image is avoided and stunning results are achievable – even in difficult lighting conditions.

Use the full extent of the camera’s zoom to draw faraway subjects closer and capture great looking video as well as stills. The LZ40 can record dynamic HD video in 1280x720 pixels resolution, and in Motion JPEG format too. A dedicated video recording button is provided on the top of the camera, thereby making it convenient for users to switch from shooting photos to shooting movies.

A single charge of the lithium ion rechargeable battery supplied with the LZ40 will deliver approximately 320 pictures, based on the industry standard CIPA testing. The battery can also be charged via USB port as well as via the mains, allowing for maximum convenience.

The LZ40 comes with the convenience of a body integral pop up artificial flash to provide extra illumination in more challenging shooting conditions. The flash itself has a Guide Number of 8.5. Even relatively distant subjects can be captured in a properly illuminated – and therefore properly exposed – manner.

The minimum spend to be eligible for free local delivery will be calculated at checkout depending on your postcode. For those on our usual daily van routes, this is £49.00.
For those outside of Yorkshire, we can offer a nationwide delivery service (UK mainland only) via a third-party courier for a fixed charge of £7.99.
This delivery service is usually carried out by DPD on their 1-2 day service, or Parcelforce on their Express 48 service. If this option is not presented to you at checkout, then it may be the type of product you are trying to order is too large for a courier. Please ring us for any clarification.
Our aim is to deliver all goods ordered held in stock within 3 working days. Deliveries are normally undertaken by our own personnel using our own vehicles so that we can offer you the best possible service. If the product that you have selected is not available at the time of placing your order, and it is necessary for us to order directly from the manufacturer, you will be contacted within 48 hrs. We will keep you updated with the progress of your order if the item is on backorder.
If you are ordering from outside our normal operating area we may offer a delivery-only service using third-party carriers on smaller items but not on large appliances or televisions and at our discretion. Please ring us for more information.
Prices quoted are subject to stock availability. It is your responsibility to check your goods upon delivery for shortages or damage and to make a note of such on the carrier's consignment note when you sign for the goods. Any shortage or damage must be reported within 48hrs of taking delivery.
If the delivery is not completed on the agreed date as a result of no one being available at the delivery address a second delivery charge will be applied. If an installation is selected on a domestic appliance this is for connection to adjacent and available services and will not include hard wiring or any plumbing work. Standard delivery and installation is to ground floor accommodation. If delivery is required upstairs whether a lift is available or not, please check with us before ordering.
If you have requested that the old product is to be removed for scrap, this must be disconnected in advance of the delivery of the new appliance. However, if you have requested installation of a new appliance our team will, wherever possible disconnect it for you if delivery is done using our own vehicles and personnel.
Additional security checks may be carried out before your delivery date to ensure our customers are protected from online fraud. You may, therefore, be contacted before your delivery so these checks can be carried out.
